Salad Cream will not be switching its title right after Heinz faced a massive backlash to proposals to rebrand the condiment.
The meals huge introduced in June it would rebrand Salad Product to Sandwich Cream, to improved mirror the main use of the sauce.
But the final decision was achieved with ridicule, and admirers threatened to boycott the firm if the name changed.
A survey carried out by the corporation identified 87% of persons required the Salad Cream brand to keep on being, and turned down the possibilities of fish finger sauce, chip sauce, and roast potato sauce.
Joel Hughes, senior brand name manager at Heinz, said: “From Tv set debates to conversations all-around the meal table, it appears anyone has a actual fondness for not only the iconic, zingy flavour of Heinz Salad Product, but the name also.
“1000’s of you shared your feelings and advised new concepts, all of which had been thought of, but it became clear that the British public needed to continue to keep Heinz Salad Product, and any other name just would not do.
“We are unable to overlook the will of the people, so Heinz Salad Product is here to keep.”
In a tongue in cheek video released by Heinz, Jenny Lettuce, the head of opinions, reads tweets the organization obtained right after the announcement, together with just one which branded it the beginning of the apocalypse.
It’s not the first time Heinz has responded to grievances about salad product. Designs to take the sauce off shelves in the 1990s were scrapped when customers complained.
Salad Cream was the UK’s fifth largest-advertising table sauce previous calendar year, while that was a 5.4% decrease on 2016.
